    Hi Forum,

Can a ClearPass have a hostname that is different from the FQDN of that box?

I want to have my RADIUS cert with the hostname (that is an internal name) in the CN and to have the FQDN (resolvable by guests)as the CN for the HTTPS cert.

    thanks,

    Hi,

You don't need the actual hostname/FQDN on CPPM to equal the CN on a cert. Just create the DNS entry and make it resolvable to whichever IP address on CPPM, create the cert for that DNS name and assign it as the RADIUS or HTTPS certificate.

The RADIUS CN does not need to be resolvable.
