Looking over the Clearpass 6.7 changes, it seems that Amazon AWS EC2 is now supported as a virtualization platform, but I couldn't find any further information in the "Setting Up Clearpass Hardware and Virtual Appliances" section of the Deployment Guide.  Can someone point me in the right direction, or know when further info will be out?

    Thanks,

    Hi Tim,

Any news on this yet? I'm looking at doing a test deployment asap.

    Cheers

The previous link didn't seem to work, so after some trial and error I found this one:

Is anyone using this yet? I just noticed an odd note in the guide: "All the ClearPass Policy Manager nodes in a cluster have to be in the same region and same availability zone."

Does anyone have the explaination for this? Why would you put all your nodes in a single AZ and lose all AZ redundancy? And what if you want to stretch a cluster from on-prem to AWS for redundancy?

There is nothing preventing you from doing it, but we have not yet QA-validated it so YMMV.
