I have a customer that has a controller at a remote location that will be authenticating back to ClearPass at HQ.

My concern is the average roung trip time between both locations and the EAP process timing out.

I did a ping test and I am currently getting between 80-105 ms and seems some what high for the 802.1x process to go smoothly.

I was wondering if anybody has done such deployment and what can tweeks should I apply on the controller or CLearPass for this work properly.

I've seen deployments were there is a 400 ms and it still works. I like to keep 250ms as a rule to not go over.

You might need to adjust your radius settings in the server manager but I doubt it.
