    Hello Everybody,

     

    I want to create a guest wireless access with a IAP 105 thanks to the captive portal on the clearpass (vers 6.2.6). Everything goes fine with firefox. The guest pc connects to the guest SSID. It falls into the pre-logon guest role. The guest specifies his username and password in the captive web portal and then he is redirected with success to internet.

     

    However, with ie, it is not working. Indeed, the guest can specifies his login and password on the captive web portal but after he clicks on submit, the webbrowser said that it cannot open the web page. It seems that it cannot resolves securelogin.arubanetworks.com.

     

    In the clearpass access tracker, we can see that the [guest access - web login pre-auth] is accept but there is no access request for the service [guest access].

     

    When we try to connect the guest with firefox, we have an accept request for both services above.

     

    Do you know what is wrong ?

    no direct idea, but have you check the manual to see if internet explorer 8 is supported? did you check other versions?
