Guest subscription periods

    Hi,

    We have a guest captive portal which allows a 24 hour subscription period.

     

    We wish to adapt on this to allow users maybe a week or month subscription per device. We don't want any additional administrative overhead, so at present we are not engaging the option of an administrator login into CPPM and extending manually.

     

    We feel if we put the option on the captive portal to choose a day, week, or month people will automatically choose the longest period whether they use it or not.

     

    We appreciate any solution alternatives or suggestions.

    You can accomplish what you are trying to do but there are quite a few steps to set it up. I would work with your local Clearpass partner to setup the customization.

    One other option is to use the hotspot transaction page and set it to free on all pages and then you can assign a separate guest role per option.
