HP ProCurve 802.1X with ClearPass

    Hi everyone,

     

    Working with a customer who wants to do 802.1X on HP ProCurve switches to ClearPass. I have guides explaining the configuration, and I don't have a problem with that. My problem/question is when I enable 802.1X globally on the HP switch, will that affect any existing / new users on that switch? It is a production switch and I don't to cause anybody connectivity issues. After globally enabling it, you can configure it on a port-by-port basis, but just wanted to verify prior to enabling it globally.

    It should not send EAPoL start messages until it is enabled on the port.
