    This is all I did to have my 3 jpegs rotate on the front page.  I put the following in the BackGround Image Settings of the Galleria Plugin after I uploaded them to the public root of the content manager:

    {literal}
    <script src="external/galleria/js/jquery.backstretch.min.js"></script>
    <script>
    $.backstretch([
    "public/myjpeg1.jpg",
    "public/myjpeg2.jpg",
    "public/myjpeg3.jpg",
    ], {duration: 3000, fade: 750});
    </script>

    {/literal}
