I am using CP-500 and 6.5.3 , and i noticed that whenever i go to insight from main page, Eg: https://10.10.10.1 and it redirects to http://10.10.10.1/insight instead. since i blocked http due to company policy i am getting a page timeout instead, and i had to manually input https:// on the browser to successfully enter insight. It is also the same when i save or modifiy a report.

I am accessing the CPPM from a remote subnet, and i notice there is no such issue if i enter GUI via the same subnet as CPPM, eg: 10.10.10.0/24 . I already allowed  access via the access control , anyone encountering the same issue?

I have not seen this issue; it feels related with naming of your ClearPass appliance in the Server Manager; or with the redirect for the 'main page' as you call it.

Please check the name of your ClearPass in the server manager and the FQDN:

And also check the redirect settings under Administration -> Portal Page; that is where you can configure what happens if someone gets in on just the main URL:

I am also seeing the same issue with some of the CPPM's we have installed for our customers. We access them via a VPN so we are hidden behind a remote IP range. One way I was able to resolve the issue was to add a host entry for the FQDN on my local machine and then access via the FQDN.

Please open a ticket with Aruba TAC to investigate.
