I am getting the following error after I enter the username and password in ClearPass QuickConnect when trying to onboard an Android device. I have no issues onboarding IOS devices.

There was an error in configuring your device. Cannot download Device credentials from Onboard server: Value <!DOCTYPE of type java.lang.String cannot be converted to JSONObject.

And I don't see any error messages in Access Tracker.

    Any ideas?

Are there any errors in the application log on the guest side? (I doubt there are but just wanted to make sure)

Home > Administration > Support > Application Log

    Troy,

I don't see any errors under Application Log. They are all informational. I am trying to onboard both Samsung and Nexus tablets. Same result.

Are you redirecting by IP or FQDN? Most of the time I see that error its a communication issue between the device and CPPM

    couple things to check

    1. url
    2. firewall/Role settings

    Troy,

I was using landing.php in my URL. Once I took it out, it worked like a charm.

Thank you very much for your help.
