Mac adress whitelist vs. guests in internal db

Hi,

we have a W-3400 with ArubaOS 6.4.2.5 and PEF license.

Until now we use it with a ssid with psk and a guest wifi with captive portal. The users are stored in the internal db.

Now we'd like to replace the psk ssid with a new one with mac filter stored in internal db. That works so far quite well but I'm able to login to cpative portal of the guest ssid with a stored mac adress.

The guest users are in role "guest" and the macs in "mac-role".

I didn't find a way to disable the login in captive portal for the role "mac-role". Thankful for any help.

Thanks,

Stephan

Re: Mac adress whitelist vs. guests in internal db

Unfortunately, they are in the same database, so you have to choose one or the other when using the internal database.  Your other option is to use an external policy engine, like ClearPass for user and mac authentication.
