    How to configure only password based authentiucation guest access (sponsored based) without requiring username on clearpass guest?

    You should consider username only based logins, especially if you want it to be sponsored as well.

    Hi,

     

    I eabled the "username only based logins" but after that when users manually entered the useraname it shows "username and password error". and when I checked the guest accounts it showed me username and password both. so its mean password is generated and I have to put it in order to get authentication.

    Is there any other way we have?

    Did you add the username_auth field to the form?

    Make it hidden with an initial value of 1.

    thanks its working now.

    but client wants passward base access instead of username..

    can I change the feild name of "username" with "password"?

    Is this your workflow?

    1. User connects to wifi
    2. Sponsor is sent email and approves.
    3. User is then allowed to login to wifi.
    4. If user returns then they should only have to put in their given password.

    This is possible, but needs a fair bit of customisation to make work.  I may spin it up later and get some screenshots for you if I have time.

    is it possible to get this solution? I did manage most of it to work, but still strugling on self registration with sponsor.
