I noticed that in the provisioning profile there is an option to supply a PEAP username and password. Does this mean that an AP connected to to a switchport enforcing dot1x can be authenticated?. I have entered a username and password on the gui but when I go back into the profile the configured username and password fields are empty and nothing extra shows up in the config.

I have always entered the credentials on the AP provisioning screen.

OK, I'll use that approach. Is there any use for the settings in the provisioning profile then?

The provisioning profile is NOT for an access point's wired 802.1x authentication parameters.

What is the usage of the PEAP username and password fields in the provisioning profile page?
