Re: Q: upgrading 6.2.6.62196 to version 6.3.2.63239 - Harddrive questions.

0:0 is your core drive. That one should never be touched.

You will need to add one more drive and that one will be partitioned in half. So if this is a production vm it should be 500 gb if I remover right. Check the vm guide. Once the drive is added you need to reboot and add the drive. Once the vm is upgraded you can delete SCSI 0:1 but keep it until you make sure all is good with the upgrade, and I would also take a snapshot and back up.

There should be a few post from Danny on how to see what drive is being used.
Thank You,
Troy

Re: Q: upgrading 6.2.6.62196 to version 6.3.2.63239 - Harddrive questions.

Do the following from cli to figure out what drive is in use:

[appadmin@clearpass# system boot-image -l
ClearPass Platform 6.2.0.54353
Aruba ClearPass 6.3.4.64924 [Active] on SCSI (0:1)

If you're pre 6.3 you'll see 2 drives with only 1 of 'em active.
