We are trying to utilize Clearpass to identify Windows XP machines on our network. What we are seeing is that under the Endpoint profiler tab in monitoring we get a larger number of devices listed than what we get when running an Insight Report that is looking for the Device Name (Windows XP).
Any idea as to why the discrepancy? Is there something else in the fingerprint that we need to base our insight report off to make these numbers match?

Sometimes ClearPass can only profile it as Windows. It depends on many variables like NIC manufacturer, user agent, etc

Can you post a screen shot of the filter you are running in insight?
