Hello again friends!

I am using the standard /auth/welcome.html on the controller.

With clearpass guest I no longer get directed to my original web page depite it appearing the url

I have looked at this

But this is for like a old amigopod and I am on the newer clearpass guest

Anyone got this working with clearpasss guest?

Make sure this is not checked under the Layer Captive portal profile:

Also make sure that in ClearPass guest registration page you are not forcing a default welcome page either

Correct. If you want to do a redirect you would just configure that in the selfservice you created

OK.  I cannot remove the welcome page but I can remove the tick in "show welcome page".  I stil get redirected to securelogin.arubanetworks.com/cgi-bin/login and I still get the "user authenticated" splash screen and not redirected to the orginal we page :(

Which versions of AOS and CP are you running?

Are you trying to:

1. Redirect to a specific site after login or
2. Redirect to the original web-page you tried to navigate to before Captive Portal?

For nr 1 just input that in the Welcome Page on the CP Profile. In my experience doing that on the ClearPass Guest side doesn't do anything, but it might be working on latest version...

For nr 2 there isn't a straight forward way of doing that - unless you implement a CoA based solution. Then I'm pretty sure you can send the original URL back as a redirect parameter.

The guide you are using does have the key points to creating a welcome page on ClearPass that has the URL stored for the original URL, but it will require a click by the user.
