what is different between adding the whole subnet and add the Device IP it self in Devices in CP?

I have scnario where my customer have many vendors he have :

 

Cisco switches and Cisco WLC and HP switches now I can see in devices I can add a full subnet and and IP only so what is the diffrence and now if I added the full subnet I have to choose only one vendor so please advice for best scnario?

If all of your RADIUS source addresses are in the same subnet and have the
same keys, you can put in the subnet instead of each individual NAD.
