    We are seeking a Principal Network Engineer who wants to be a part of a fast-paced and challenging start-up environment. Our ideal candidate will provide presales consulting, implementation professional services, and post-sales escalation-level support for the deployment and maintenance of Aruba server software products including the ClearPass Access Management System and the AirWave Wireless Network Management System. This position reports to the customer advocacy organization and requires a person with an in-depth understanding of complex enterprise network deployment models and strong troubleshooting skills. Candidate should have Linux administration and object oriented PERL, JAVA or Python programming experience.

     

    Responsibility Overview
    Work with ClearPass and AirWave sales teams, Aruba sales teams, and partners to drive sales of the ClearPass Access Management System and  the AirWave Wireless Network Management product. Be the technical point of contact for product demonstrations and software pilots.  Provide feedback to ClearPass and AirWave Customer Support and Product Development

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Work in the North American territory with travel in the entire region
    • Provide technical pre and post support to sales, partners and customers for various technologies as related to current and future Aruba server products.
    • Design & execute presales bakeoff test plans and long-duration product pilots in conjunction with local account team
    • Provide professional services to design & deploy Aruba solutions onsite to customers
    • Formulate technical action plans for analyzing and resolving problems related to the Aruba product deployment
    • Generate documentation in the form of case notes, tech tips and best practices
    • Work on complex problems requiring in-depth fault analysis and troubleshooting skills
    • Simulate problems in lab
    • Participate in solutions to build internal knowledge base
    • Provide technical cross-training to relevant groups as needed
    • Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain application customizations for customers
    • Work effectively in a team environment, with colleagues, QA and development engineers, and the Aruba field organization
    • Near-continuous travel to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting, or training purposes
    • Work with software engineering on customer driven product requests and enhancements

     

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • 2 - 5  years support experience in the WLAN industry, including experience with Network Access Control and Management Systems, experience with network infrastructure products, and understanding of advanced TCP/IP networking concepts
    • Specific experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux installation and administration issues (including firewalls and routing), wired and wireless network topology, and related protocols like RADIUS, 802.1X, DNS
    • Excellent working knowledge of and troubleshooting skills with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP & RADIUS-based authentication systems
    • Excellent working knowledge of and troubleshooting skills with VMWare and virtualization environments
    • Experience with packet tracing/sniffing on 802.3 and 802.11 networks
    • Object Oriented Programming experience in PERL, JAVA, C++ or Python.
    • Experience installing and maintaining Linux RedHat servers, FreeRADIUS servers and Apache web servers
    • Strong working knowledge of network management platforms, SNMP protocol, and MIB’s
    • Experience with Aruba, Cisco or Symbol wireless and wired devices
    • Experience with enterprise-level customer advocacy and account management
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences ranging from individual contributors to executive-level contacts
    • Experience with HTML, XML and web services development
    • Experience in working with Cisco IOS networking devices is desired
    • BSCS/EE or equivalent required (CCNP is a strong plus)
    • Basic understanding of SQL and databases
    • Solid communication and presentation skills, confidence, and the experience necessary to interact with Fortune 500 customers; including a solid understanding of large-scale network and security requirements
    • Ability to travel at least 75%
