Training, Certification & Career

The last clearpass scheduled date is in April, and I'm wondering when new dates will be announced, and which version of clearpass the course will be based on.

The upcoming ClearPass technical training will be based on 6.0.  

Starting with ClearPass 6.x, we are making a major move into elearning. All of the lecture will be in the form of self-paced video modules.  For CP 6.0 we're expecting around 15 hours of video broken up into modules of 15-20 minutes in length.
 
The video modules will be available on May 1st.  We are also making a commitment to providing localized content.  The video modules will be recorded in English but there will be a "notes" pane in the player which will contain the translated script for each slide.  No hard dates on timing and languages yet as we're still working the budget but will keep you all updated.

Then in the mid-June timeframe we will be offering an instructor-led lab course where the students will get hands-on with the products.  This will be delivered in a virtual training format where the students will use a RAP or VIA to access the equipment and an instructor will be with them via webinar to offer recap lectures and to answer any questions.  This course will be delivered over 5 half-days. Students will be required to have completed the elearning modules before registering for the lab.
 
The elearning modules and lab will be bundled into a single course called ClearPass Essentials.  The SKU is EDU-CP-E and the cost is $2,100.

Finally, we will be offering an Advanced Workshop course in the mid-August timeframe.  This course will be designed for Aruba Partners to go through a complete customer design and implementation exercise. Students will be given a stack of gear (including Cisco wired and wireless gear in addition to Aruba wired and wireless gear) and a customer scenario and will perform a complete CP deployment.  This course will also be delivered in the virtual format over 5 full days.  Pricing TBD.
 
Also  in mid-August we will be updating the ACCP exam to 6.0.

It would be nice to see Aruba offer these courses on a pay as you go basis for each module - that way people who are interested and whose workplace can't or won't pay for them can pay to study themselves.
