PAP authentication with VIA

Hi

Im trying to configure VIA and made all the necessary configurations but VIA still tries to authenticate with PAP instead of MSCHAPv2 and what is set as authentication type in the aruba controller

I talked to a guy from aruba and he said it was a bug and they are working on it......somebody have any news about it

I was under the impression that VIA authentication is PAP only at present.

Yes, if you use IKEv1 then PAP is used between the controller and the external radius server. However, ArubaOS 6.1 and VIA 2.X allow you to use IKEv2 which supports EAP-MSCHAPv2 and EAP-TLS
