I am trying to get zero touch working with our 2920's. I currently am on version 16.02.0012 of the switch OS and on Airwave 8.2.5. I have my switch setup in Aruba activate and the switch get's my Airwave address with no issues, but from there the switch will not talk with Airwave. In the logs for the switch I only get the following:

I 11/14/17 17:06:11 05102 amp-server: AMP server registration started through Primary VLAN.

I 11/14/17 17:06:11 05103 amp-server: Device registration to AMP server failed.

The switch can ping the Airwave server so not sure what the issue could be.

When you have access to the switch's commandline, you should type:

debug ztp

debug destination session

That might give you more info.  You have the right time, which is important.

If you decide to make changes on the Airwave/Activate side and don't reboot the switch, you might be able to force activation by typing "activate provision force"

Does your switch have access to the internet?  It needs to have the time correct to be able to connect to Airwave Via SSL correctly, or you would need to set the time manually.  From what I understand 16.04.xxxx have this fixed.  Can you set the time manually and try to do an activate force?

yes the switch can access the internet and it's getting the updated time, just not within the same timezone as the airwave server so there is a 5 hour different from what I can tell

Just upgraded the switch to 16.4.0009 and it registered fine with Airwave and was added to the correct group.
