Aruba S3500 Stacking with DAC cable?

    Dears,

    I have two Aruba s3500 24f and i want to make stacking with them By DAC stack cable But The Cable didn't work ,And when i tried to make stack by using 2 sfp RG45 with link utp its work normally.

    Did i need stack modular on s3500 to work the DAC cable?

    any help will be appriciated

    Please check http://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/interoperability/#SFP-XFP for compatible and supported SFP modules for the S3500 (and other products). Currently, there are only 10Gbps DAC cables on that list. The uplink module for the S3500 adds 4x SFP+ slots to the switch.

     

     So you can stack over 1G ports with compatible SFP modules only, or with the 10G uplink module over compatible SPF+ modules.

    So must Get 10G Uplink Module to run the stack With the DAC SFP+

    Correct, as the ports on the S3500-24F are gigabit only. From the datasheet: S3500-24F: 24x1000BASE-x SFP.

     

    You need a SFP+ slot to connect a 10G DAC cable; the uplink module adds 4 of those SFP+ ports.
