Q:
Why do see the wrong file warning when the aruba switch is managed by Aruba Central?
When the Aruba switch is managed by Aruba Central using template group then mandatory lines are required in the template to push to the configuration to the switch.
The following example shows the mandatory lines required in the template:
; J9727A Configuration Editor; Created on release #WB.16.03.0000x
; Ver #0e:73.b8.ee.34.79.3c.29.eb.9f.fc.f3.ff.37.ef:2f module 1 type j9727a include-credentials
If the mandatory lines are not added in the template group then switch would throw the following warning in the switch:
W 11/16/17 18:09:36 00155 update: Wrong file.
In the Aruba central, under Maintenance > Audit Trail, we can see the error - Full config push status: Failed, Message: "Wrong file."
Below is the sample from the Audit Trail:
16/11/2017 18:09:36
System
0.0.0.0
Configuration
<serial number of the switch>
Full config push status: Failed, Message: "Wrong file."
Once the mandatory lines are added to the template group then the configuration will be pushed to the switch.
