I am setting up jumbo frames on my network(just for my SAN Vlan), and would like to know where to set mtu on s2500, VLAN, Interface or both? What would the effect be if if just set mtu on vlan only?  Interface only?

core is HP 8212zl with 10Gb fiber to  S2500

    Thanks in advance

AFAIK Server and Storage vlan need jumbo

How about User vlan, because in this link Voice vlan enable jumbo as well

    https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Wired-Intelligent-Edge-Campus/Deploying-VoIP-on-ArubaOS-Switch/td-p/447714

    ?

    1. What is benefit of enabling jumbo on Voice vlan?

    2. any impact on User vlan if jumbo enabled

    tq

    Hi,

    No impact for voice

and user don't use jumbo frame... only server or storage...
