    Hello Everyone, Just wondering.
are all Aruba switches compatible with the REST Api when they are stacked?

I ask, because we are about to buy some 2930m switches for stacking
and I wonder if the Api is comptaible with them.

and well... I have been reading through some documentation....

and this is not very clear.

In september the documentation says that the APi just doesnt work in
    3800 stacked switches

    https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00021940en_us&docLocale=en_US

But in January 2017 it says that the Api just dosent work at all in all switches while being stacked
    https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c05373669

is there any way to be certain about this?

    Hi Eliot,

Since release WC 16.04.008 (2930F/M) and KB.16.04.0008 (3810M/5400R) management of stacks of switches via REST API's are supported. This counts for backplane stacks and VSF (front plane).

Hope you'll find this anwser useful.

    Regards, Dobias

Are we going to see rest in stacked 3800's?  We still have a substantial investment in these switches.

    Are there any plans?

    Hello,

There are no plans to support REST API on stacked 3800 switches because these switches are End of Sale since 2016:  http://h17007.www1.hpe.com/docs/products/eos/HP%203500%20and%20HP%203800%20Switch%20Series%20-%20June%202016%20-%20External_updated.pdf

REST API on stacked 3810's is supported from release 16.04.

    Kind regards,

    Dik
