How to configure multiple default gateways on MAS?
Requirement:

We need to configure multiple default gateways on the MAS. The preferred default gateway shall be chosen based on the metrics and next hop availablity.

Solution:

We need to remove the existing default gateway to delete it from the routing table and configure the route statement to configure multiple default gateways.

The route with lower cost will be used till it is reachable. Once unreachable, the next lowest metric route will be used.

Configuration:

1. Let us remove any existing default gateway on the ip profile:

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) #configure t
Enter Configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (config) #ip-profile

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (ip-profile) #no default-gateway

2. Now let us configure multiple routes to default network 0.0.0.0 / 0.0.0.0. Here we configure two default routes, with different next hops and different costs.

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (ip-profile) #route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.17.171.1 100000

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (ip-profile) #route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.17.171.10 1000000
(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (ip-profile) #exit

Verification

1. Let us verify the IP profile:

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (config) #show ip-profile

ip-profile "default"
--------------------
Parameter Value
--------- -----
Default Gateway N/A
Import DHCP Gateway Disabled
controller-ip N/A
route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.17.171.1 100000
route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.17.171.10 1000000

2. Let us verify the ip routing table:

(ArubaS3500-24P-US) (config) #show ip route

Gateway of last resort is 10.17.171.1 to network 0.0.0.0 at cost 100000
S * 0.0.0.0 /0 [100000] via 10.17.171.1
C 10.17.171.0/27 is directly connected: vlan1
C 10.17.171.2/32 is directly connected: vlan1
C 10.150.2.0/24 is directly connected: vlan2
C 10.150.2.2/32 is directly connected: vlan2
C 10.150.3.0/24 is directly connected: vlan3
C 10.150.3.2/32 is directly connected: vlan3

We can see above that the route with the lowest cost is set as default gateway.
