WHAT TO DO WHEN A STACKING MEMBER GOES TO DORMANT(C ) STATE?

SETUP:

 

PRIMARY- SECONDARY & TWO LINE CARDS.

 

Please use the following command to show the state of the switches

(ArubaStack) (stack-profile) #show stacking members
 
Member status: Active, Stack Id: 001a1e087b004fcee152

The switch goes to this state as the Serial number of this line card is not added to the Stacking database.

Please use the following command to add the Serial number back to the Stacking database.

ArubaStack) (stack-profile) #member-id 2 serial-number AK0000018 role line-card
WARNING!! This profile will not be applied till the configuration is saved.
 
(ArubaStack) (stack-profile) #write memory
Saving Configuration......

Execute the command again to confirm if the status is back to active.
 
(ArubaStack) (stack-profile) #show stacking members

This is a good start, but what about when the switch is 'dormant' and the role is "na" and the stack ID is "?".  The fix in this article unfortunately does not help in this situation.
