2400 os 3.4.3 reset

    Greetings everyone,

    Clearly I am new here.  I just picked up a used 2400 controller and attempted to follow the password reset proceedure outlined a dozen other places here on the board. (user: password, pass:forgetme!)  I do this connected via console

     

    However, I am not able to enter privlidged mode to change mgt-user because it asks me for an enable password, which when I provide it with forgetme!  does not seem to work.

     

    The OS version on this is 3.4.3, is there an alternate recovery method I can employ? (does it have a rommon mode like cisco?)

    Username and password are correct.

     

    Enter "enable" for the enable/priviledge secret. Then conf t and reset the admin mgmt password.

     

    When you log back in from scratch, enable is still "enable".
