    Hello

Is it possible to use a 4G uplink with a controlled AP?

It seems it is only possible with an IAP or a remote AP correct?

Or is there a way to make this work?

When you say "controlled AP", do you mean a Campus AP?

This probably wouldn't work more because one of the protocols used for a Campus AP, GRE, will not work across a NAT boundary.  I'm sure your 4G connection would use some sort of NAT.

    Oke tath is clear.

    So my setup is:

    2 controllers and Aruba 325AP's.

Now i need AP's on a remote place witouth an ethernet connection possible.

So our solution is to use a 4G uplink with indeed the use of NATing to reach our existing LAN.

The only solution is to use a remote AP then? Or am i rong? Because i want the controllers still to manage them.

You can configure your AP325 to operate in RAP (Remote AP) mode. Basically, the AP in RAP mode is simply encapsulating the PAPI and GRE traffic inside an IPSec tunnel for traversing NAT and public networks. RAP mode is still controller managed.

I need an IAP to do that no? I think it is not possible with a campus AP.

'Remote AP' is a campus AP operational mode. It is not related to IAP.

Can you point me in the right direction to turn a campus AP into a remote ap?

Well you can see they are converting an IAP to an remote AP like i said.

Yes. The key points are the controller setup and AP group configuration. The AP group determines the mode that the AP operates in. If the AP in question is already controlled by a controller, then provisioning it to belong to the properly configured RAP AP group will put the AP into RAP mode.
