Do you know when there will be an update to the DRT to allow 5Ghz UNII-3 band C (5735-5850Ghz) now that it became legal in the UK on 7 Aug 2017?

    https://www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0016/104362/decision-wireless-telegraphy-exemption-regulations.pdf

I just applied the latest DRT:

      (aruba-wlc3) #show ap regulatory

      Regulatory Version :1.0_62141

    But I still don't see channels 144, 149, 153, 157, 161 and 165

We're aware of this and have taken action to add support for these channels on selected indoor AP models.

Obtaining certs will require SW changes (DFS), testing, etc., and is not free.

Assuming we can get our AP platforms to pass the requirements, we'll add support as we obtain certs. There is no confirmed schedule for this currently.

Hi, just happened to find this whilst searching for info on whether the new UK channels are now supported on Aruba kit. I am running OS 6.5.4.6 and have just applied the latest DRT file (reg-data-1.0_66351.dat). The net result is that the extra channels are now supported except for channel 144 which is missing for some reason. So an extra 5 channels 149, 153, 157, 161 and 165 are available when I run the "show ap allowed-channels country-code gb" command.

However when I run the "allowed-channels" command aimed at a connected AP-305 i.e. "show ap allowed-channels ap-name AP01" I see that none of the extra 5 channels are supported by the AP-305.

I am thinking that this is probably because when the AP was certified (approved) these extra channels did not exist and so to use them the AP would have to be re-certified?

I am currently speaking with the TAC about this to gain some clarification and will post back with any update.

    Regards
