    Have a couple old 800/800e controllers and would liek to get the newer code on them for testing lab purposes. I know there's no official version, but is there a way to "root and rom" them with the newer codes?

    No, you cannot. They are not supported.

    The last version of AOS that can be loaded on the 200 / 800 / 2400 / SC-1 / SC-2 is v.5.0.4.x.
