802.1x Authenticated Clients dropping wireless connection

    Hey guys,

    So we currently have a WPA-2 Personal Authenticated SSID and are switching over to a WPA2-Enterprise (Radius Authenticated) SSID. Both are using the same VLAN for DHCP (On the controller). Would this cause users to drop, what else could be causing it? (Users on the WPA-2 Personal SSID do not drop)

    Same VLAN shouldn't be an issue.

     

    What version of ArubaOS are you running? What type of clients are having issues?

    Version: 6.1.3.4

     

    Clients: Mobile - So Iphone, Android, etc all experiencing this.

    What is your radius server?

    Let us see the output of "show auth-tracebuf"

    I am using a RADIUS IAS server.

     

    There are no failures when I run that command.

    Are you still experience Iphone and droid dropping off the network?  I just got reports of this in one of my offices....  What did you learn?

    What are the symptoms of the drop? Does the connection just fail, or are they re-authenticating?

    eljay,

     

    I will have to do some more digging.  although it seems to happen (reported by users in Cali I am in PA) whether they are using our .1x SSID or our WPA2-PSK SSID.  I will have to get a user to test with over there to gather all the deets.
