A very basic question about AP redundancy

this could be a very simple and basic question: if I have only 1 controller and some APs connected, what happens when the controller have a fault and goes down? Can the APs in some way continue to propagate the SSID and the basic functions? Or they stop working too?

If your AP's are normal Campus AP's, they will stop broadcasting SSID's.

If you however set them up as RAP's, you could utilize a rescue option made for RAP's, allowing them to broadcast an alternative SSID and bridge trafikk out locally to the Internet.

But as you set the AP to be a RAP, you loose som features etc.
