    Hello!

I've got equipment from our sales team for a POC.
    They gave me AP-318, AP-374 ap's and ANT-2x2-5314/2314 antennas.

They should work together, if i connect the antennas to the connectors 0 and 1.
But I'm not shure if it is necessary to terminate the 5G2 and 5G3 connectors.

This thread says that the unused connectors should be terminated with 5 50 ohm terminators.
Do i have to expect a loss of performance if I dont terminate the unused connectors?

    Thank you!

Since this is part of a POC, I suggest contacting the sales team that provided the configuration to ensure they did not miss an item or pick up an incorrect antenna.

    Hello!
2x2 Antennas will work with AP-318/374, they are also listed in the ordering guide. My question was, if i have to expect performance losses if I dont terminate the unused connectors on the AP.

    Thank you!

The unused ports need to have terminators installed.

I also am connecting a 274 AP to a 5314 antenna.  The antenna has a H and V connections.  Which of the 3 connectors on the 274 goes to the H and which goes to the V?

Where can I get a terminator for the 3rd connector?

Someone mentioned the terminator should be 5 ohms.

Shouldn't  it really be 50 ohms.

    Hey!

    Yes you are right.
    I made a typo, it should be 50 Ohm's.

Sorry, I will edit my old post...

We bought them at a local WiFi specialized distributor (a suggestion would not be helpful for you, because I'm located in Austria).
But you can find them also at amazon, or some electronic dealers.

Basically, you have to terminate all unused antenna connectors.
If you will not terminate them, the AP can get demaged (If somebody disagrees, please correct me).

See the attached AP-270 Installation guide.
On page 6 you will find a connector description.
We terminated the 5G2 and 2G2 connectors.

But it is not clearly documented if you have to connect the V to a specific antenna port.

My personal opinion is, that it doesn't matter.
Because if it would be important, than there would be a note in the installation guides of the AP or antennas.

But maybe, a aruba employee should confirm that - or you contact TAC.

BTW - we noticed no distance reduction when we tested the 2x2 antennas on the AP-274.
