AP-105 Command Line Configuration

Hey, I am trying to do a full Remote AP configuration on an AP-105 through a console connection but it never works.  I restarted an AP that was already configured, and interrupted the boot and captured the configuration that was on it.  Then It took a new AP and did set commands for all of the parmeters to duplicate the configuration, but the AP never comes up.  I assume I need to do something special with the ikepsk or pappasswd?

apboot> print
bootdelay=2
baudrate=9600
autoload=n
boardname=Talisker
bootcmd=boot ap
autostart=yes
bootfile=mips32.ari
ethaddr=d8:c7:c8:ca:93:13
name=Pilot-AP-93-12
group=TEST-APGROUP
master=10.146.243.50
serverip=10.146.243.50
a_antenna=0
g_antenna=0
ikepsk=A543C3DF489A10FFF6F105BB3C96EFC1FF6306F935CC1BE8092B2316FB8AEE3D
papuser=vzw-rap
pappasswd=89769C8CFF9A1E4627C6692E3D755E666A26FF6300C26149E0346C96F3DE3ECB
usb_type=0
auto_prov_id=0
is_rmp_enable=0
remote_ap=1
priority_ethernet=0
priority_cellular=0
cert_cap=0
mesh_role=0
installation=0
mesh_sae=0
start_type=cold_start
stdin=serial
stdout=serial
stderr=serial
ethact=eth0

Re: AP-105 Command Line Configuration

I would simply NOT put in the lines below:

ikepsk=A543C3DF489A10FFF6F105BB3C96EFC1FF6306F935CC1BE8092B2316FB8AEE3D
papuser=vzw-rap
pappasswd=89769C8CFF9A1E4627C6692E3D755E666A26FF6300C26149E0346C96F3DE3ECB

Enter the AP 105s wired mac address into the RAP whitelist on the controller, and you should be good to go.

ikepsk and pappasswd are individual for each AP.

Re: AP-105 Command Line Configuration

Thank you for the response.

Actually ikepsk and pappasswd are the same across our enterprise.  So if there was a way for me to tell the AP what it is, I wouldn't have to touch the controller at all.

That is the issue.  Even for the same PSK and password, it is DIFFERENT for each access point.

That is so that someone cannot just find your access point or your PSK on an abandoned access point, put your parameters into their AP and connect to your network.  You need to put those parameters in via the controller's provisioning mechanism.
