AP 105 high channel utilization

    Hi,

    I have 10 APs (105 model) in virtual controller enviroment.On a virtual controller dashboard i found many time that some APs showed high channel utilization and at that time users of same APs cannot access intranet/internet resources.I have attached image herewith.

     

    Please help me out what is reason and solution for this????

    You can try:

    - Turning on "Broadcast Filter All" on all of your SSIDs
    - Using fewer SSIDs
    - Turning down the maximum transmit power in the ARM profile.

    Hi,

    Just enable the   Broadcast Filter All" on all of your SSIDs and attached the screen shot as well.Is there is need to optimize any other option??/

     

    Turning down the maximum transmit power in the ARM profile???? can you send me any fix vlaue.

    On that same screen, you can try changing your 2.4 ghz transmit rate to 11 and see if it helps.

    You mean i set the trasmit rates from 11---------54???

    Yes. That is separate from the ARM maximum transmit power that I mentioned before.

    How many access points do you have and what type?

    HI,

    After made these changes now 5 GHZ channel uitlization is high.attached the screenshot

    You can try also increasing the 5ghz minimum rate, as well, but you should have less issues on the 5ghz and should not have to do that usually.

    If those steps do not help, in addition, you can set the ARM minimum and maximum transmit power both to 12 and see if it helps:

    You would then need to check to make sure you don't have any coverage holes after that.
