    Hi,

I have an AP-105 that have the "11BGN" Led in SOLID red (no amber, no blinking). I don´t found any about this status. The AP is on extreme PoE switch connected directly @GigB on the Ethernet.

All other leds are green and seems like is working. The controller reports 11 users, have some different associations "phy" type.

The Solid red color on that Led is not documented.

    Any idea? RMA?.

Do we have any client connectivity issues being on LED status Red?

Can we try connecting the AP to a different port on the switch  and check the port errors ?

sriram.subrama.. That led that you are marking up is the "POWER" Led not the "11 BGN" led. No errors on the LAN switch, we change the port and its ok, seems like isn´t ethernet related.

oharms That sound more logic...Where can i check that? (RF Managment, 802.11a & g Radio Profile, "Protection for 802.11b Clients" option, "High throughput enable (radio)", etc.?

11n functionality is enabled/disabled with the "high throughput enable (radio)" checkbox. If that box is not checked, the radio LED will be amber/red.

Hi, first: Thank you by the help! :)

A little brief: We have some ESSID and mixed AP models (AP-60, 61, 65, 70, 85, 105, 12X & 13x) so could be an issue if they are sharing the same old config since years ago (before 11n)?  (by the way I don´t move any options if i don´t know why, maybe the TAC staff colud move something)

Where in the tree "Advanced Services > All Profile Management" is that option?

    Regards.

This is in AP Configuration > RF Management > 802.11a radio / 802.11g radio

Hi, I found that option but what about the little brief "

We have some ESSID and mixed AP models (AP-60, 61, 65, 70, 85, 105, 12X & 13x) so could be an issue if they are sharing the same old config since years ago (before 11n)?" If I enable that option will affect to users "association/connectivity/performance"??. And what about mesh links (PtP with AP-85Tx).

(Meanwhile I will use another AP group to enable this option and check for the red led turns in green.).

By the way this is the Dashboard table that seems that 802.11n on 2.4GHz radio only is not enabled but is shows that 802.11n on 5GHz is enabled:

Enabling HT (which is by the way on by default) does not affect non-11n APs at all.

If HT is already enabled for 5GHz, you should see that the 5GHz/11an LED on 11n APs is green. Enabling it for 2.4GHz/11bgn should turn the other radio LED to green.

    Ok,

Just as a precaution i config the same VAP on another group and i enable that option and the led turns in green and now in the dashboard i see a few g-HT users ¬¬

What other options do I need to check to get a bes performance/conectivity?  where/how can I see/compare the "defaults" to audit "my" config?

I have just have one report about an old smartphone (no 802.11n) that is associated, connected but seeems like does not work.... i will check this later (sticky client?).

At nite (without users) i will activate this option and maybe in this week i hope i will close the case.

The AP-105 LEDs are bi-color green/red, and turn amber by mixing both colors. It's a known issue on this platform that the resulting color is typically perceived as red instead of amber. Are you sure the 2.4GHz radio of this AP is not configured for 11bg (legacy, non-11n) mode only?

Hi, I have a similar issue, but a little worst, only power led is in red the remaining leds are solid red... any ideas?
