Wireless Access

A brand new out of the box AP205h does not appear to boot.

The "System Status" LED continuously blinks (never goes steady green.)

The AP does get an IP from DHCP but we cannot connect to it with any protocol (http, https, SSH.) (We find the IP via the ARP table in our router.)

The AP does not announce an "Instant" SSID.

We tried a factory reset with no change.

We try looking for the AP as an unprovisioned AP on our controller but it does not appear.

We don't have the proprietary console cable.

What else can we try to configure this thing?

Is this an IAP 205h or an AP 205h?

Hi Colin,

Didn't realize there is a difference.

It's an AP, not an IAP (which explains why no Instant SSID or Web GUI.)

It did finally appear as an un-provisioned AP on our controller.

We ultimately want it to be a RAP.

Can this version be converted to a RAP?
