Looks like we want to start looking at AC, so I'll be getting a couple of AP-225 to play with. I've looked at a couple of posts about this model and just need a little clarification of a few things.
2 enet ports - do both need to be plugged in? Is there benefit to using both? I believe the AP-135 has 2 ports, but 1 is to be used if you need to daisy chain another AP (hope that is correct).
PoE - AP-225 needs a .at power source. We currently use the 3501, but have a quote for the 9001. Will these APs work with the PoE ports on our existing 620 controllers? Will they work with the 650 controller (getting a few of those to test as well)? Or, am I going to need to order power injectors for each AP?
Firware/AOS/Code - controllers will need to be at 6.3.x in order to use these APs. We are currently at 6.1.3.10, so I will need to upgrade everything if/when I start rolling these out?
Airwave - Airwave doesn't have this AP as an available model until the latest version - 7.7.9. I'm currently at 7.6.2.. I believe 7.7.x requires OS upgrade to CentOS 6.x. Currently waitiing on a new server before I can do that upgrade.
So, do I have everything correct? I have a couple of new offices opening, and we wanted to look at the latest equip. If the above is correct, I'll likely have to plan on using our current stuff - I'm not going to be able to get everything upgraded and tested before these offices are scheduled to open.
Thanks!
