Does anyone know if the JX961A AP-MNT-CM1 is designed for use on a 15/16” flat tbar recessed ceiling tile grid with the tiles that hang below the grid structure?  I know in the past Aruba has not had one for this particular case so I'm trying to understand if this one would work. This particular SKU is new to me and the install guide is a bit vague since it’s a drawing and not a real life example.

Does anyone have a real world deployment picture for this mount?

    Thanks!

Can you provide a link to the Armstrong or whatever brand model of the tile and rail system you are referring to, and I can compare schematic drawings? Generally they can be made to work with some trimming on the tiles. Thanks

Just the man I was looking for Jerrod.

Here's one example of the type I'm talking about.  We were trying to not have to trim the tiles any, or have to leave them kicked up at the AP location as the included AP-220-MNT-C1 requires.

I think I have a 15/16" rail somewhere, I will see about trying to get the C1 clip on a rail and take some pictures. I don't have the tiles though. That being said, the C1 supports (or SHOULD support) the 15/16 rail.

The CM1 is the one I need a picture of.  The C1 is what comes in the AP box so I already know that one :)

Yea, late night fat finger. I do NOT have a flat rail to snap it on to, but these pictures should give you all you need. Pretty sure this will not work on a 9/16" rail (though when you read the spec on the 9/16" rail, they are not designed to hang weights on them heh).

    Hi Jerrod,

Picture was helpful.  Do you have info on the max wide the rails can support?  We have 35mm wide rails and so the other mounts couldn't fit.

    Cheers,

    Emer

    Hello,

I have sort of the inverse problem solved by the JX961A - APs with the new style rail-mounts pre-attached (AP5xx) but I'm looking for an adapter system so I can use them with mounting brackets I already have attached to suspended ceiling rails and also to 4 post mounts, both attaching to the older AP style with the twist-tab system (which uses the old style pictured.)AP2 and 3 series mount.jpg

The new mounts really present a labor nightmare that I'm hoping to avoid. Thanks to all the spatial-visualizers out there who may be able to help.
