Controller & AP are in factory default configuration.   Initial config is done in controller and licenses are installed.   Controller and AP reside in the same VLAN.   AP is powered up but in never showed up under show ap database in CLI nor Configuration - AP Installation in GUI.   What could have gone wrong?

    1. If CPsec is not required, make sure that it is turned off

Configuration - Controller - Contol Plane Security - Disabled

    or no cpsec-enable in CLI

    2. If CPsec is required ( http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Wireless-Access/When-is-CPsec-required/td-p/308293 ), either the AP need to be whitelisted or auto cert provisioning (with or without addresses allowed for autocert) need to be enabled.   These options can be found under Configuration - Controller - Contol Plane Security.

Once changes are done, reboot the AP should bring up the AP under show ap database output.
