    Is there a way to broadcast the AP name via the beacon packet.  I noticed that there is a flag in Airwave, but only for version 6.1.4.1.  There is no version 6.1.4 for the controller network.

    Will there be a feature add in the controller code?

    Is there also a way to determine AP name via AirMagnet or OmniPeek?

    AOS 6.2 has this feature;

    Under the WLAN SSID profile;

    (Aruba650) (SSID Profile "test") #adver?
    advertise-ap-name       If enabled, APs that are part of this VAP will
                            broadcast the AP Name information in the beacons
                            frames
    advertise-location      If enabled, APs that are part of this VAP will
                            broadcast their GPS coordinates in the beacons and
                            probe response frames

    (Aruba650) (SSID Profile "test") #adver

    As for adding a name not sure but in Wireshark you could add the BSSID MAC address to the ethers file.

    6.203  Has it gone GA yet, or is it just an early release still?
