    Hello every one,

I have a 3200 with some AP-105 (which are all running in bridge mode).

My problem is that when the AP(s) loose connection to the 3200 - they stop working after 30 sec (way less than the time it takes for the 3200 to reboot).

Is there a way to increase this timeour (or disable it) ?

    Thank you.

You need to convert that AP to a Remote AP, and then choose the Remote AP Mode in the Virtual AP to Permanent.

    Hi cjoseph,

Would that just be one of my AP's ?

I've just tried to provision it into a RAP but it seems to be staying down (at least from the Mobility controller view point).

Is the purpose of this to turn one of the AP's into a kind of a local controller ?

    Thanks for the help

    Hi cjoseph,

So. I tried to convert one of my AP's into a RAP unit. Seems to work just fine when the 3200 is reachable, BUT ....

If I reboot the 3200 (or lose connection to it from the RAP) - then it still stopps to process the traffic (however it does seems like it holds out a bit longer - seems to be somewhere around 90 sec).

Is there a way to increase this threshold so my wifi clients doesn get their traffic dropped if I reboot the 3200 ?

    Thanks :)

A bit more jumping on this and it finally worked.

Kudos to cjoseph - now running RAP mode and continues to work even if controller is down
