AP reboots every 10 minutes, licence issue???

    Hi,

     

    I have one AP which reboots very 10 minutes.

    show log system all | include [ap] shows "no available licence" althought there are enought licences available.

     

    I already read in other thread (http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/Why-does-the-controller-show-the-No-available-license-error-when/ta-p/179018) that the WIP license capacity must be equal to the ap licence...I mention because I ordered two test licences for rf-protect. So the number of ap-licence and rf-protect licences are NOT equal.

     

    Could that cause the error?

     

    Unfortunately I can not delete the test licence....

    I got the message "Key disabled; temporary keys cannot be removed.
    Limits updated."

    It seems that the RF Protect licence is now disabled althought it still appears in the overview. Any chance to fully delete it?

     

    When I type "show keys" RF protdect is disabeld and 0 licence.

     

    Does the number of ap-license and rf-protect always must be equal?

    If you have PEF, AP and RFprotect, it will take the lowest number of the three and that is the maximum number of APs you can bring up.  That is why you should match AP, PEF and RFP licenses.  Expired licenses should not count.

    Hi,

     

    Please run the following command to check the license keys installed on the controller.

     

    show license

     

    We need to run the following command to disable a particular license key.

     

    #license  delete <license-key>

     

    It will only disable the license & this will not contribute to any license

    types.

     

    However, we can not remove it completely from the controller without TAC intervention.

    I have seen this before with AP lics and PEF licensed not being equal.
    The only way you can undo a temp lic key is call TAC.
