    Hi there,

I am helped a week ago, and now we have the following.

    We want to buy ap105's.
Now 1 seller can sell the 115 for almost the same price as the 105.

Another seller tels me that there is not a hugh difference, yeah the 2X2 mino and trhe 3X3 mimo.
They also tell us that then every device needs to be the wifi N standart.

If the device is not a mimo 3 device, the AP wil be downgraded and there is no advantace of the 300Mbps->450Mbps.

Of course the sellers want me to buy with that company.

But i want to know what do we need to know to make a good choice.
We know allot , but not enough about mimo 2x2 and mimo 3x3

    thanxs

Besides reading the links that Fabian gave you that are really useful

If you can affort it go for 115 AP

Think in the future though... that eventually you will have wireless cards with more antennas though... so you will have more speed...

Right now it wont make  a big difference but in the future it can make  a difference...

If i could buy the AP 115 instead AP 105 i would defenetly do.

    Cheers

    Carlos

Since you are deciding betwwen AP115 and AP105, try asking for the price of AP225. If your discount is really good then do consider the future of 802.11AC instead - 1.9Gbps.

If you're only interested in .11n, go with the AP115s.  You'll get the maximum benefit when you have 3x3 clients on your WLAN of course.  Plus, they're a lot more attractive than the AP105s when they're below the ceiling grid.

If you want to be more future proof, go with teh AP225s as Normal Guy suggested.

the AP-115 is a superior radio offering. 3x3, more processing power (more throughout with small packets and at short range), better rate versus range than AP-105, superior cellular co existince protection, ...

How much of a jump from the AP115 to the AP125?

As much as AP225 could be good, AP125 could be a great price too?

The AP 115 is two generations newer than the AP-125 which is End of Sale as of January 2013.

The performace of the AP125 is not really comparable to AP115, don;t go that route.

For high density applications the AP-22x is the recommended solution
    It is a functional replacement/upgrade for 13x
It is worth noting that the 22x solutions are also the best 11n radios that Aruba has ever produced.

For medium/low density application the AP-11x is the recommended solution where 11ac is not needed.
    It is a functional replacement/upgrade for 10x/12x

    Hello Johnson

    What would you call:

    Hight Density
    Medium density

    Low Density

i mean in users per band :)

You beat me to asking! I was wondering if there was a sizing guide somewhere that would define these levels.

As much as a 225 would be *awesome* - it might not be required for all applications.

    Closest I found was:

Thats a nice chart  thanks i just saw the one of the AP 225

And well i was just asking Johnson as i always like to see Aruba employees personal opinon about client density.  Which i know it depends on what they users runs in their WLAN enviroment and also the Wifi clients Antenas they got.

But its always nice to see their opinion though... most of the times i learn something new from them!

    Cheers

    The 125 is discontinued I believe. Isn't 115 essentially it's replacement?
