    Hi!

I have WLAN on MC 3200XM and 25 APs 105, on controller is set DHCP service. Few days ago, on one of switch poe there was problem with power. Actually the power issue is fixed but two APs which are plugged into that switch have still "down" status, below errors from process logs:

    sapd[1002]: <311020> <ERRS> |AP PD_1.4-1@172.16.0.238 sapd| An internal system error has occurred at file sapd_redun.c function redun_retry_tunnel line 4602 error redun_retry_tunnel: Setting up DHCP failed; curr-dhcp-count:2 total-dhcp-count:2.

sapd[1002]: <311020> <ERRS> |AP PD_1.4-1@172.16.0.238 sapd| An internal system error has occurred at file sapd_redun.c function setup_dhcp line 2097 error IP over ethernet failed.

    dhcpd[2597]: <299801> <DBUG> |dhcpd| if PD_1.4-1.ap.local IN A rrset doesn't exist add PD_1.4-1.ap.local 302400 IN A 172.16.0.238: timed out.

    dhcpd[2597]: <299801> <DBUG> |dhcpd| if PD_1.4-2.ap.local IN A rrset doesn't exist add PD_1.4-2.ap.local 302400 IN A 172.16.0.251: timed out.

PD_1.4-X is the name of APs

Do you have any ideas why AP cannot get IP and back to status up? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: AP with IP: 172.16.0.238 is in status up, but AP with IP 172.16.0.251 is still down.

been a while so not sure if this is still an issue. but i would focus on excluding causes. try a different switch port, try a different cable, try a different switch, ....

then if you sure you isolated the issue post a reply.

Both APs go UP. But i think there is problem with controllers's DHCP at whole. I have AOS 6.4 and 4 dhcp pools for WLAN infrastructure (all pools has space for 300 hosts in total which is under 512 hosts limit on that AOS version) and in process logs there is very freqently information about problem with dhcp:

    dhcpd[2027]: <299801> <DBUG> |dhcpd| if android-452edf9020a9184c.netia.local IN A rrset doesn't exist add android-452edf9020a9184c.netia.local 1800 IN A 10.30.254.183: timed out.

    dhcpd[2027]: <299801> <DBUG> |dhcpd| if android-6f7d859378839d70.galeria.local IN A rrset doesn't exist add android-6f7d859378839d70.galeria.local 1800 IN A 10.20.254.209: timed out.

    dhcpd[2027]: <299801> <DBUG> |dhcpd| if android-452edf9020a9184c.netia.local IN A rrset doesn't exist add android-452edf9020a9184c.netia.local 1800 IN A 10.30.254.183: timed out.

Do you know what exactly these logs stands for?

i believe those don't matter much, they are related to dynamic DNS updates which the Aruba DNS server apparently doesn't do.

personally i feel aruba should lower the log level for those so we don't see them.
