Access Point Ethernet Port Speed Display

Hi,

Is there anywhere in the GUI that you can see the port configurations of the Access Points?

Not the policy that sets the speed as such but the current speed an access point is running at present?

Thanks

Aruba

Re: Access Point Ethernet Port Speed Display

I am not aware of anything in the GUI, but you can run the following command to see it from the CLI:

show ap port status ap-name <nameofAP>

You can also use bssid, ip-addr, ip6-addr, or wired-mac instead of ap-name

Sample Output:

AP "00:0b:86:cf:80:89" Port Status (updated every 60 seconds)
-------------------------------------------------------------
Port  MAC                Type  Forward Mode  Admin    Oper  Speed   Duplex  802.3az  PoE  STP  TX-Packets  TX-Bytes  RX-Packets  RX-Bytes
----  ---                ----  ------------  -----    ----  -----   ------  -------  ---  ---  ----------  --------  ----------  --------
0     00:0b:86:cf:80:89  GE    N/A           enabled  up    1 Gb/s  full    N/A      N/A  N/A  14602       2604693   49887       5566678

Re: Access Point Ethernet Port Speed Display

hmm that command doesnt exist in my version, 6.1.2.5.

I assume I need a later version?

Re: Access Point Ethernet Port Speed Display

Another command introduced with Aruba OS 3.0 is : show ap debug system-status ap-name <the AP name>

at the end of the output you would find somethign like :

"

Ethernet Duplex/Speed Settings
------------------------------
Autoneg Speed (Mbps) Duplex Iface
------- ------------ ------ -----
on 100 Full bond0"

Keep in mind that this command is to show the status of the Ethernet negotiation.

If you found my post helpful, please give kudos!

Yes, it was introduced in 6.2.   You can try Constantin's suggestion as well.
