Wireless Access

We are currently tunneling all our guest traffic to a controller in the DMZ and then out to the internet via a seperate internet connection.  For some time now this connection has been used for connecting via Adobe Connect and using desktop sharing.  The Adobe Connect server is in the DMZ as well but utilizing a different internet connection.  That means that in order to hit that server users go out one internet connection, came in the other, and back again.

Now, these users now are complaining of slow response times when viewing high quality images and videos over desktop sharing.  We have tried to inform them why this is so due to the flow process.  Is anyone out there using Adobe Connect connecting via this way and are your results the same?

I would rethink your routing on this specific application/service. You know there is sub optimal routing taking place if the traffic is leaving the DMZ on one internet link and then gaining access to the same DMZ on a different internet link. If for nothing else as a test to see if your client application works better.

The thing is that this service is riding on the guest network that was never intended for this.  They have started using it because it's a way to provide access to external clients that come to the enterprise.
