Air Magnet Survey with Aruba AP on Controller

    HI,

     

    I have a project which is all our AP run with Controller RW 7205, we are trying to use Air Magnet Survey Pro for sitesurvey, but we have issue.

     

    Air Magnet we are using the Adaptor from: Orinoco Proxim, 

     

    When we try to run survey, we found issue, where Air Magnet detect AP Mac Address, but the Mac Address of each AP is not match to the Mac Address we located in Aruba Controller.

     

    Any one have experience?

    Are you sure you are checking the radio MAC adresses?

     

    Note that the MAC adress for each SSID is different. Can you check the MAC adress without looking at the last digit? I think you are able to find the correct addressess then.

    HI,

     

    I'm not sure if i'm doing the right thing.

     

    I have try to match Mac address found on Air Magent during sitesurvye and Controller Mac Address each AP, but found no AP Match each other.

     

    So after sitesruvye we can't identify which Mac Address belong to which AP

    On the controller, "show ap bss-table" will show you the mac addresses that corresponds to each access point SSID.  Use that for your correlation.
