Wireless Access

At our upper school campus, we have one Aruba controller. This controller manages all aruba access points at this particular campus. All of our academic buildings, as well as our dorms, have Apple TVs, 64 in total. Is there a way to segregate Apple TVs, in academic buildings, from those in the dorms, using AirGroup domains? For example, if I'm in an academic building, I don't want to see any of the Apple TVs in the dorms, and visa versa.

You cannot use Airgroup domains for this purpose. But you can use Airgroup location based discovery.

We've had AirGroup location discovery enabled for awhile now and I still see every Apple TV on campus. There doesn't seem to be any detailed documentation on it. Thanks anyway.

Ok. How are you sharing the location? AP-group based or location-id based? Check, 

# show airgroup cppm entries (see the shared-x columns) 

# show airgroup status (see the status of Airgroup Location Discovery)

You can use the neighborhood feature in 6.4.4 for this. Also, if you're running ClearPass, you can do location-based registration.

We don't use clearpass but I'm interested in learning more about the neighborhood feature. Is there any documentation available? We're running 6.4.3.6 at the moment and do not yet have access to this feature.
