I do not have a console cable.

When I installed it i simply plugged it into my switch then I accessed it via the browser at https://instant.arubanetworks.com:4343/#home

Now I cannot access the device.

    What causes. ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

How did you determine that the AP is using the IP address 192.168.1.210? Can you ssh to the IP address, or use https://192.168.1.210:4343?

Without console access, troubleshooting will be limited. Do you have local access to the 192.168.1.0 wired subnet?

    Hi Charlie,

    Thanks for you answer.

From DHCP server, I saw the mac address, then I checked the cable in/out.

I bought the first time in July 2xAP207 (Model:APIN0207 JX952A AP-207) and when I wanted to configure them, I received the same problem "green led flashing on both AP". Back then I opened the RMA and the two devices were replaced. With the new devices I have the same "error".

To solve the problem, I tried:

    - DC Supply no result

    - PoE Switch no success.

    - replace cable

    - another place (switch locations)

In the past, I have already worked with identical AP devices, we have in the HQ 3xAP-207 and in the secondary office 7xAP-207  without controller. With these previous devices I didn't have any Problem.

Only with these two new ones I have encountered this error.

Could it be that the new devices themselves have a problem, all four of them?...hard to believe....

    (view in My Videos)

Something goes wrong but I can't tell what.

    Thank you

Does the sticker on that access point say IAP-207 or AP-207?  AP-207 would work the way you are describing.  The IAP-207 would broadcast the instant SSID and you would be able to SSH into it.

    AP-207

The AP-207 does not work without a controller. The models you used previously without a controller would have been IAP-207s. The correct SKU would depend on the country code that needs to be supported.

I bought the wrong item on HP reseller.

    This is correct IAP-207-RW.

    Thank you Charlie
